Documentary about Jeju Island

Tuesday, April 7, 2015, 7-9:30pm
East Bay Media Center, 1939 Addison St, Berkeley, CA

The people of Gangjeong village on Jeju Island, South Korea, have struggled nonviolently for eight years to prevent the construction of a naval base that threatens their livelihoods, the local ecology and the peace of northeast Asia.

Learn more about the struggle at a local screening of the documentary Gureombi, The Wind is Blowing. You may also be interested in a local talk with two of the movement’s activists, on the following evening. See the event flyer.
