These are informative, moving testimonies that call us to conscience. Brian & Elliott are two of the heros in a movement whose time has come: We MUST end torture done in the name of “American security”, and we must release these prisoners (most of whom have been found innocent, yet remain imprisoned). Guantanamo is a mark of shame for this country. Where is our integrity? Where is our basic sense of humanity? These men are speaking up. Will the rest of us?
Elliot Adams, Tarak Kauff and I are the remaining hunger strikers in solidarity with the Guantanamo Hunger Strike. Others, no doubt, will join the hunger strike with time. I’m on day 33 of no solid food, less than 300 calories a day and significant weight loss. Elliot and Tark are also taking less than 300 calories and have lost a lot of weight.
