“A man (or woman) of faith will remain steadfast to truth even though the whole world might appear to be enveloped in falsehood.” ~ Gandhi, Mind of Mahatma Gandhi, p. 47
Please note: might appear to be enveloped in falsehood. That’s where the faith comes in: that despite all appearances, Truth cannot ever be destroyed, and an act of truth by a single person had been known to bring around an entire people—because it is lurking in them, also. One cannot help recognizing the very situation in which we find ourselves today in this statement, where thanks to the mass media and other influences, we are told we’re living in a “post-truth” political environment. But “truth crushed to earth will rise again,” as William Cullen Bryant proclaimed. However, not all by itself; only by the courageous witness of one or a few people of faith who are not deceived by the disheartening surface, however widely spread over.

‘Truth only will prevail’ is the motto of India. For a time-being, we may feel that untruth has got victory over truth, but atlast truth will survive.Truth is what it is. Gandhi came to the conclusion that Truth is God-this explanation ot God is accepted by all Isms including atheism .Untrth or falsehood is shadow of it & shadow will not last longer.
