  • Nonviolence in the News with Michael Nagler: Dr. Nagler shares some otherwise hidden nonviolence history past and in the making. He also addresses the Boston bombings through the lens of “common security,” and analyzes the concept of nonviolent heroism. April marks the anniversary of the publishing of MLK’s Letter from a Birmingham Jail.

 

 

  • Our guest for this show is human rights defender Tiffany Ornelas de Tool: 

TiffanyOdeToolTiffany Ornelas de Tool is a trainer and human rights advocate specializing in conflict resolution, intercultural dialogue and community protection.  She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a Master’s degree in Public Affairs from the University of Texas at Dallas.

She studied peacebuilding in Germany, receiving her certification as a Peace and Conflict consultant. She was a field officer with Peace Brigades International – Indonesia,  team leader in Nonviolent Peaceforce- South Sudan,  documented the anti-naval base protests in South Korea through photojournalism. She most recently spent time in the Gaza Strip focusing on protective accompaniment of farmers/fisherman and trainings on Nonviolence/Community Protection.
